The Tar Heel Bus Tour

Olive; No. 17 Goldsboro; No. 18 Kinston; No. 19 Morehead City.

2023: Making connections and gaining perspectives

Beginning Wednesday, Oct. 18, 53 Carolina faculty members and 22 senior administrators, representing 13 schools and 53 campus units, will depart from Chapel Hill and head throughout the state. Two buses, one traveling to the East and the other to the West, will make 21 stops in 19 counties, covering over 1,000 total miles.

2022: Heels on the Bus!

The tour returned in 2022 and we traveled our great state over Fall Break (October 19-21, 2022). It was an incredible journey of listening and learning and visiting the communities that our students call home.

2019: Return of the Tar Heel Bus Tour.

In October of 2019, the Tar Heel Bus Tour traveled to 26 towns and cities throughout North Carolina. Carolina faculty and senior administrators examined the most pressing issues facing our state while learning more about the state they serve.
