  • The goals of the Tar Heel Bus Tour may seem ambitious for a short-term, one-time experience, but we know from participants that they are not only realistic, but enduring. The Tour provides a unique opportunity for Carolina faculty and administrators to leave campus and focus on visiting communities across the state and hearing from those who live there about what is of importance to them and how we can work together. At the same time, participants forge relationships and connections that result in strengthened and new ways of engaging with one other and the people of the state that continue long after returning to Chapel Hill.
